Pop Up Trundles or No Pop Trundles Metal Pop up trundle bed frames such as a Duralink Trundle Bed by Humble Abode works fine in the up or the down position while drawer trundles or no pop trundles are limited to the down position. No pop trundles are fine if you plan to use the pull out trundle in the down position, which parents like for kids and sleepover situations. If you plan to accomadate couples, poping the trundle up creates the sleeping area of king size bed. If you are unsure, go with the popup style as its only a little more and even with used as a stand alone twin bed, it feel more like home when sleeping on a bed that is the nomal elevated height. The pop up feature is also nice to have when you use the trundle in a separate room from the twin high rise frame.

Trundle Bed Mattresses Trundel Beds are only available for Standard Twin mattresses 38” wide x 75” long. Full, Queen, King and extra long Twin mattresses are not compatible with Trundle Beds. Mattresses for the Trundle bed that stores underneath should not exceed 8” thick. If you choose two of the same mattress for the top and bottom they will be the same height when the Trundle is raised and two Twin mattresses side by side are virtually the same dimensions as a King size bed. If you are considering using two Trundle Beds side by side as a King size bed please consider Humble Abode's Extend A Bed Trundle Keeper for safety. Box Springs are not required for Trundle Beds. Please keep in mind that Trundle Beds absolutely will not fit under standard bed frames.

Shipping and Residential Delivery (very important) All daybeds and twin trundle beds are too large for UPS or Fed Ex so they have to be truck lined to your residence or business. Our sponsor, Humble Abode and a few others make up the small portion of furniture retailers that actually use furniture grade shippers that specialize in delivering fine furniture to residence. Believe it or not, most furniture retailers ship daybeds with common carriers that ship anything, including cinder blocks and construction equipment. Common carriers typically deliver to businesses so their vague delivery windows are often missed without a phone call. Again, they typically deliver to businesses so they just show up the next day. Common carriers are often referred to as “back of truck” or “Curb Side” shippers because you have to receive the packages off the back end of the truck on the street. Worst of all, common carriers damage furniture far to often. Can you imagine the frustration thousands of consumers feel when they realize they went through all that for nothing because the retailer shipped your daybed with a cheap and inappropriate shipper. Between vague delivery windows, missed appointments, shipping damaged, lost packages, time off work or play, and weeks of delays before receiving your daybed, this can get very expensive. Whether you buy from your local retailer, through a catalog or online, ask what type of shippers will be used to deliver your daybed.
